Pretty good week

Considering that it was a recovery from Mexico week I think I made out ok. I met with Dave and he’s given me training guidance (and orders not to go too wild…not to worry, I don’t want to burn out). Swim, bike, run weights etc. I think I’ve planned ok for the next week or so.

My first few days didn’t feel so great. Spin class on Monday PA-1500-02 and Wed was tough, as was swimming those nights. Just needed to adjust a bit. My easy run on Tuesday was good, better than I thought considering how much time I’d taken off. After a grueling first day back at work (10 hour shift on customer appreciation day - ugh) I didn’t manage the gym, but did do abs and stretching back home. Lori killed us at spin class on Wed morning, by legs are still sore from all that PA-1500-02 standing. My Thursday spin at home was good. I did an hour and 15 minutes….easy during commercials, harder otherwise. I was late to masters on Friday because of work, but got in a pretty good workout. I managed a 400 in less then 6 minutes, which was pretty good considering my lousy physical condition at the moment. Clark and I went for an easy ride to Ellison on Saturday - touques and all - it was actually pretty nice. I ran some hills up Wilden after that. I did a pyramid.PA-1500-02 1st lightpost, 2nd then 3rd then back down. Thought it better to go easy on my first hill training in a while. I did go to the gym too when Clark went golfing.

Today, Suki and I managed to get through an easy 10k run. Good thing she came becuase I felt awful. I could swear I was 400 pounds it was so tough. After the run we were both humming and PA-1500-02 hawwing about our next planned workout (swimming for Suki, gym for me) but we both decided to go…the power of teamwork. I felt better at the gym, so I hope that’s a sign that the body is snapping back. We shall see tomorrow at the 6 am spin!
